Registered Technologist in Radiological Technology

Marcus is a Registered Technologist in Radiological Technology with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologist (CAMRT).

At CPRI, Marcus’ clinical role involves working with the Pain Medicine Physicians during fluoroscopic procedures. Marcus provides safe and accurate guidance of medical instruments throughout the procedure by utilizing an X-ray imaging platform known as a C-arm. Marcus also monitors radiation safety and attends to the needs of the client within the procedure room.

Prior to becoming a Registered Technologist, Marcus attended Simon Fraser University to study Biomedical Physiology and Physics. His appreciation towards healthcare and physics eventually led him to BCIT’s Medical Radiography programme; a homogenous blend of front-facing healthcare and concepts grounded in physics. Marcus would graduate from the Medical Radiography programme with distinction and immediately start working at Surrey Memorial Hospital, regarded as “Canada’s Busiest Emergency Room”.
Marcus is trained in imaging a variety of high acuity domains such as intensive care, emergency, and the operating rooms.

Outside of the diagnostic imaging sphere, Marcus also works as Clinical Instructor Designate at Surrey Memorial Hospital. During his time in the role, Marcus has earn commendations of excellence in clinical teaching. He is passionate about teaching and is focused on providing a safe and effective learning environment for future generations of Medical Radiographers.
