Dr. Mariam Rassem is a physician specialized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) practising in the Vancouver area.  

She completed medical school at the University of Saskatchewan followed by residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation also at the University of Saskatchewan, culminating in fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC).  Dr. Rassem then obtained certification in electromyography (EMG) by the Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists (CSCN).  She subsequently went on to practice in Edmonton before coming to Vancouver.  

Dr. Rassem’s clinical interests include diagnosing and treating peripheral entrapment neuropathies, musculoskeletal conditions, myofascial trigger point therapy, and ultrasound-guided peripheral musculoskeletal injections.  Her passion both in and outside of the clinic is physical activity, which she believes is truly the best medicine.  Beyond the clinic, she enjoys yoga, biking, travelling, and indulging in desserts.
