CPRI Medical & Rehab

Our Story

In 2016, two newly graduating physiatrists who happened to cross paths at a medical conference felt the need to serve the void in delivery of comprehensive pain care and pursue the highest level of training in Pain Medicine through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, which had created a two-year subspecialty program after their five years in Physiatry.

During their training in Pain Medicine, their passion and vision for service to Pain grew even stronger as did their friendship. The void for such services was evident across the country and especially in British Columbia where they chose to live, work, and raise their young families.

With extensive support from their family and friends they started the Canadian Pain and Regenerative Institute in 2019 in the heart of Vancouver.  What started as a dream in the hearts and minds of two new graduating doctors, has in a short span of time grown into a humble institute in two locations, Vancouver and New Westminster with a team of  11 specialist physicians including Pain Medicine specialists, Physiatrists, Anesthesiologist, Sports medicine specialist and a growing multidisciplinary rehabilitation team comprising of  physiotherapists, occupational therapists, counselors, psychologists and health coach who are continuously supported by a management team of medical office assistants, managers and directors.

Our goal is to always provide holistic, person centric, comprehensive, and evidenced based care to the person in front of us. Every patient’s experience of chronic pain is unique, and we believe so is their treatment and rehabilitation.

Our commitment to our province and country is to advocate for chronic pain, educate our future generations of health care providers, educate the community of health care providers and advocate for systems level change across the nation to spread the awareness for chronic pain.

Our commitment to each patient is to do our best to prevent, treat and help them manage their pain and its impact on their life to the best of our abilities.
